Arrivato con Maria a Betlemme cercò un albergo dove far riposare la sua sposa avendo con sé il denaro sufficiente per pagarlo. Purtroppo non vi trovò posto per via della moltitudine di persone che si erano spostate a causa censimento.
6) Erano regolarmente sposati e non una “coppia particolare” come spesso alcuni riferiscono.
7) Maria e Giuseppe non schifarono l’oro ritenendolo “sterco del demonio”, ma lo accettarono insieme agli altri preziosissimi doni portati a Betlemme dai nobili sacerdoti orientali.
