Le lettere che continuano ad arrivare sono veramente molte. Ne pubblichiamo almeno una:
Reverendo Padre Volpi,
Le scrivo affidando questo mio scritto alla Santa Vergine, affinché tutto sia conforme alla sua Santa Volontà.
Inizio col dirle che é grande il dolore e l’amarezza che invade il mio cuore e tutta la mia persona, per ciò che sta accadendo nella nostra famiglia dei Francescani dell’Immacolata.
Mi chiamo Anna e per grazia e dono di Dio sono terziaria francescana dell’Immacolata, mamma di sei meravigliosi bambini, ed insieme a mio marito condividiamo il cammino francescano. Cammino che fino a diversi mesi fa era felice e non offuscato da nessun turbamento. Rispetto la persona di sacerdote che lei rappresenta, ma mi permetta di dirle, che da quando è arrivato come “Commissario” nella nostra famiglia dei Francescani dell’Immacolata, ha completamente distrutto tutto.
La serenità soprattutto spirituale della mia famiglia e di tante altre famiglie, di colpo, dalla sera alla mattina, ci è stata tolta, strappata, come la violenza di un estraneo che toglie un bimbo dalle braccia della madre. Era bella la comunione unica e fraterna che vivevamo ai nostri incontri di formazione, con i nostri frati e suore. Ricordo la gioia dell’attesa di incontrarci e di condividere insieme lo sforzo di vivere secondo il S.Vangelo e l’esempio di vita francescana. Questo meraviglioso paradiso spirituale che si era creato (in un mondo dove si vede e si sente tutt’altro), è stato voluto e donatoci da Dio ispirando il nostro amato fondatore, P. Stefano Maria Manelli. Egli era felice quando si viveva fra noi la gioia e la letizia francescana.
Non ricordo un solo gesto, non ricordo una sola sua parola, non ricordo un solo suo esempio che non ci abbia ricordato e riportato all’amore supremo per la Santa Vergine, alla fedeltà unica e incondizionata per la Santa Madre Chiesa e all’obbedienza al Santo Padre. Ai miei bambini ripeteva spesso di pregare per le intenzioni del Santo Padre e di diventare santi.
Egli è stato ingiustamente accusato, calunniato e quanto di più brutto si possa dire.
Prego affinché il buon Dio usi grande misericordia per coloro che si sono macchiati di tali maldicenze, quando si presenteranno davanti al suo tribunale.
Da sola niente posso, perché niente sono, ma le assicuro che continuo a pregare e ad offrire ogni giorno per questa mia tanto amata famiglia francescana.
Qualche volta il Signore non concede subito ciò che gli chiediamo, ma è certo che quando questo accade, il nostro dovere è quello di continuare a pregare e offrire, nella certezza che nessuna preghiera vada perduta e che a suo tempo non mancherà di portare frutti. Ricordo ciò che Sant’Ambrogio disse a Santa Monica, preoccupata di ricondurre il figlio sulla retta via: “Monica, ritorna a casa tranquilla, perché Dio non permetterà che le tante lacrime di una madre vadano perdute, per la salvezza di un figlio”.
I tanti frutti che si sono realizzati (e le assicuro che sono davvero tanti) in questi anni di missione dei Francescani dell’Immacolata, sono dovuti grazie all’incessante preghiera e offerta rivolta a Dio dai due fondatori Padre Stefano Maria Manelli e Padre Gabriele Maria Pellettieri e, se per caso qualche frate lontano in terra di missione si è lamentato di non avere mai ricevuto una telefonata del fondatore, gli dica pure che se la cornetta del telefono non si è mai alzata, certamente c’è stata l’offerta quotidiana dei due fondatori nella Santa Messa, catene di Rosari sgranati incessantemente e offerte corporali e morali che solo il buon Dio può conoscere. Lei ben sa che il Serafico Padre San Francesco ci ha insegnato che la preghiera attiva si realizza attraverso la “linfa” della preghiera contemplativa. Esempi mirabili Santa Chiara e Santa Teresina del Bambin Gesù.
Le grazie che Dio ci concede ogni giorno sono tante, ma perché rinnegare e dimenticare che c’è stato chi ha pregato e offerto per noi.
Mi consenta ancora una riflessione, Reverendo Padre Volpi. Oggi certamente anche lei deve ringraziare, oltre che Dio, una persona, un luogo, una circostanza che l’hanno aiutata nel corso della sua vita. Nella mia vita, oltre che Dio, la persona, il luogo, la circostanza che ha illuminato il mio cammino e quello della mia famiglia è stato, è, e sarà Padre Stefano Maria Manelli.
La totale confidenza nell’amore di Dio e nel pieno abbandono nella sua Divina Volontà, saranno causa di una pioggia di Grazie speciali, che sono certa non mancheranno ad arrivare sulla nostra amata famiglia dei Francescani dell’Immacolata.
La ringrazio dell’attenzione e le auguro di diventare, come amava affermare Madre Teresa di Calcutta, “una matita nelle mani di Dio”. Mi faccia, però, la carità di chiedersi se fino ad oggi lo è stato.
